The server Tyler did an amazing job with presentation for the food and is a lovely person to talk too. The owner welcomed us by the door and as I left as well. Love the food, definitely will be coming back!
Have you ever had a Zingari Tiger's Eye? This is the only place :) go to the bar, enjoy the ambient music, eat the noms.
Came in when I was staying at the donatello. Incredible service, Tyler is incredible. He invented a drink on the spot to my specs. It was incredible. It's called the Tiger's eye. If you like a good time and good service, you will be in the right place.
Wandered in because of the cool jazz playing. My lucky day because Tyler made the best espresso martini EVAH. Not too sweet. Perfectly balanced. Cool vibe. Will be back.
I cannot speak highly enough about this hidden gem. The food was incredible, the jazz music with Jerome created a fun atmosphere, and Tyler's Espressotini's are the best in the country!
Since we were guests at The Donatello, we decided to dine at their restaurant which has live jazz! I gotta say that this was quite a lovely experience! I reserved a table where we can enjoy the live jazz band! That section wasn't huge, which made the experience feel very intimate and romantic! Our server was very polite and made great recommendations! Any chance I get to eat the lamb, I take it! It was a great choice! I ended up buying a second order to take back to my room!
I came here for a business dinner, and wow the food blew me away... and I regularly eat Italian in NYC top Italian places. I had the rigatoni con salsiccia and it was a dream. The service was active and helpful, but it did feel a bit stuffy (hence one star down). I just didn't get a human connection with the staff. This is differently the feel of a modern downtown restaurant, which was was something different than I am used to, and it felt a bit odd. Then again this was a business dinner downtown.
Food was well prepared and very tasty. Service was great, not too bothersome but you never had to wait for your glass to empty, it was constantly full. A very quiet atmosphere, somewhat intimate but also very packed with tables. If you do go here, I suggest two things: 1) Make a reservation, space is somewhat limited. 2) Expect a 4 star meal at 7 star pricing. Great experience, but cost prohibitive.
